Where To Go Axe Throwing in Metro Detroit

Axe throwing isn’t just for lumberjacks anymore. Over the last couple of decades, this unique sport has been gaining popularity — and with axe throwing bars and businesses cropping up all over the metro Detroit area, including these nine locations, it’s easier than ever to it a try.

Axe Ventura

Book one hour of axe throwing for $35 per person or two hours for $60 per person on one of the 12 lanes offered at this spot. Reservations are recommended for specific dates and times, but walk-ins are welcome on a first come, first served basis. BATL Novi

This premier axe throwing bar can host parties of two people to as many as 135 people. Make reservations up to three days in advance or walk-in on the same day. Detroit Axe

Detroit Axe boasts being Michigan’s first “wholly dedicated axe throwing venue,” and features 12 throwing lanes as well as a giant throne for photo ops. Enjoy a full bar, food, and board games, to round out the evenings. Walk-in for $25 on a first-come, first-served basis, make a reservation for a private lane, or join a league. Full Throttle Adrenaline Park

Rather than a wooden bullseye, the premium axe throwing experience at Full Throttle offers digital targets across six Axe Lanes. In addition, enjoy go-karting, virtual reality, a rage room, and more. Hub Stadium

For $25 per person, per hour, up to four people can throw real axes at an interactive target that keeps score for you. VIP stalls are also available for up to 8 guests. In addition to axe throwing, try football bowling, and a golf simulator. Plus, a happy hour menu filled with bar food. You must be 18 years old or older to participate. Legacy 925

The Axe Social at Legacy 925 offers five full throwing bays along with a lounge area, pizzeria, and bar service for ages 12 and up (kids must be accompanied by an adult). Axe throwing isn’t the only draw though. You’ll also find bowling, go-karts, a trampoline playground, laser tag, escape rooms, and more. 925 North Lapeer Road, Oxford; thelegacy925.com.  

Legendary Axe

The Axe Parlor

“Unleash your inner John Wick” for $15 per person for a half-hour session or $30 per person for a full hour. Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are offered based on availability. Any throwers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. They offer snacks, pop, beer, seltzer, wine coolers for sale. The Tailgate Garage

This spot offers football bowling, a virtual gun range, golf simulator, bubble soccer, a ropes course, cornhole, and much more. Their axe throwing features games you can play.
