Sugar Factory American Brasserie — a restaurant that specializes in sweet treats and is known for attracting celebrity diners like Kim Kardashian, Drake, Jennifer Lopez, and more — is opening a location in Downtown Detroit this spring. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and of course, plenty of crazy dessert options.

The 233-seat Sugar Factory restaurant will be located at 45 Monroe St. in the One Campus Martius building. The eatery will feature a main dining area with indoor and outdoor seating, an indoor and outdoor bar, and a retail space with a floor-to-ceiling candy wall. Guests will find a number of Instagram-worthy spots in the restaurant, including neon signs, floral walls, and a candy heart wall.

“We are excited to bring our decadent dishes, sweets, and treats to the Detroit community, which have been enjoyed by guests around the world for over a decade,” says owner Charissa Davidovici in a press release. “The energy and atmosphere of downtown and the One Campus Martius building is the perfect place for Sugar Factory’s family-friendly dining.”

The menu will include unique food items, like the Flaming Hot Cheetos Burger and Sugar Factor Rainbow Sliders. And for dessert, the restaurant will serve up “Insane Milkshakes,” including the Caramel Sugar Daddy Cheesecake shake, which is made with blended vanilla ice cream, cheesecake, and caramel and is topped with a slice of New York-style cheesecake, candy, and a rainbow lollipop. Diners can also indulge in the King Kong Sundae. The sundae includes 24 scoops of ice cream and is covered with sprinkles, gummy bears, caramel, fudge, and lollipops.

Meanwhile, at the bar, guests can enjoy alcoholic or non-alcoholic versions of Sugar Factory’s celeb-approved, smoking candy goblets. Among the options are Cali Love, a cocktail featuring Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila, apple and pineapple flavors, and key lime slices and apple rings, and The Big Cloud, a cocktail from Nick Cannon that contains Voli vodka, Selvarey rum, pineapple, peach, melon, and a blue raspberry cotton candy garnish.

The Downtown Detroit location is Sugar Factory’s first restaurant in Michigan. The restaurant also operates locations in cities such as New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami, and Abu Dhabi.
