10th Annual Harvest Moon Celebration Is Serving Up Michigan Beer

Fans of Michigan beer will find a wide assortment of choices at the Harvest Moon Celebration in downtown Farmington this weekend.

The festivities kick off Thursday night with The Tasting, an event that brings 17 Michigan breweries to the taste buds of attendees. Other Midwest-focused craft beer will be available, as well as wine from around the world, BBQ from Detroit-area chefs, and live music.

The Harvest Moon Celebration continues over the weekend, offering up live music, the Harvest Moon Dance on Friday, and family focused activities.

The Michigan lineup includes selections from: B. Nektar Meadery, Atwater Brewery, Liberty Street Brewing Company, Short’s Brewing Co., Northville Winery and Brewing Company, Cheboygan Brewing Co., Dragonmead Microbrewery, Griffin Claw Brewing Co., Kuhnhenn Brewing Co., North Peak Brewing Co., Right Brain Brewery, Saugatuck Brewing Company, Uncle John’s Cider, Vander Mill Ciders, Frankenmuth Brewery, Perrin Brewing Co., and Rochester Mills Beer Co.

Tickets are $6 in advance, $8 at the door; an extra charge for The Tasting does apply. Advance tickets can be purchased at the following Farmington businesses: John Cowley’s, The Vines, The Farmers Market, Meadows Fine Wine & Liquor, Scott Colburn Western Wear, Farmington Florist, and Merle Norman.
