How has your style evolved over the years?

Classic elegance with an edge of trendy has always been my style. I love Old Hollywood.

What’s your thought process when putting together an outfit?

Before I dress for any event, I think about the crowd and the type of event. Fit is very important to me, and many trends do not flatter everyone. If you have to question whether or not you should be walking out the door in an outfit, don’t wear it.

Who is your favorite designer or brand?

The classics: Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Saint Laurent, Chanel, Alexander McQueen. More trendy: Zimmermann, Alice + Olivia.

Where do you shop?

I shop at Saks, Moda Operandi, Revolve, and Zara. Little boutiques are my favorite when traveling.

What item in your wardrobe has the most sentimental value and why?

The Dolce & Gabbana Wolf of Wall Street dress. I purchased it in 1999 at Neiman Marcus. I had just had my first son. At that time, my wardrobe consisted of pencil skirts and fitted blazers for my financial job, so when I spotted the dress, I had to have it. To this day, I still wear that dress for different events, and if I ever parted with it (which I won’t), my daughters would never forgive me. They will have to draw straws to see who gets it.

What is your go-to outfit?

In the summer, it is always a fitted or fit-and flare-dress. In the fall and winter months, I love a fitted blazer with a cashmere sweater or silk blouse, a pair of suede pants, and a good riding boot or knee-high classic boot.

If you could raid anyone’s closet, whose would it be?

I have always loved Brigitte Bardot. She was a true fashion icon in her time, along with Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn.
